Executive Director - Jennifer Ruppe

Jennifer Ruppe became the Executive Director of Advocacy for the Poor in January 2009. She previously worked as a Campaign Division Director for the United Way of Forsyth County, a program specialist with Big Brothers Big Sisters of High Point, and as a residential counselor at The Children’s Home in Winston-Salem. “I am passionate about ensuring that all people have equal opportunities for adequate healthcare, housing, food and financial stability and I have dedicated my career to achieving that.”

Jennifer holds a B.S. in human development and family studies and an MPA with a concentration in nonprofit management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
